The structure of the Web and its contents support research and promote intrinsic motivation.

Yes, it is. However, the teacher must play the counsellor's role.
Does it foster learner's autonomy? Initiatives and decision-making? Cooperative work?
It depends on the approach that the teacher provides. A priori, these activities facilitate the cooperative learning and enable the development of decision making.
